Guidelines for Written and Skill Test 

A number of queries have been received regarding the syllabus and mode of written and skill test. The Institute issued following instructions regarding the queries.

1. Written Test will be based on Multiple Choice Objective questions with negative marking. Question paper will be in English and Hindi language.
It will comprise of General Knowledge, Analytical Ability, Understanding of Institute System, Allahabad University Act 2005, Statues and Ordinances, Office Procedures, Filing, Noting, Drafting, Basic GoI Rules etc., Computer Literacy. Language proficiency in English and Hindi. Relevant knowledge of Subject and/or Services for the post applied for.
2. Skill Test will be done on computers. It will access the working capability of applicant using Microsoft Word (typing, formatting, printing etc.) and Microsoft Excel (creation and formatting of table, usage of formulae and functions, etc.).

5 days E-Workshop on Gender Dynamics in the Time of Crisis

Concept Note

The GB Pant Social Science Institute, Allahabad is oraginising  a five-day Online Workshop i.e. June 8- 12, 2020 for the Research Scholars and Faculty Members on GENDER DYNAMICS IN THE TIME OF CRISIS.  The main focus of the workshop is to critically examine the dynamics of gender relations in the time of crisis i.e. how pandemics impact on men and women differently?   

The COVID pandemic  is one of biggest global disaster for all section of the society, but its impact on marginal groups, especially women is more harsh. This crisis is going to increase the vulnerability of women.Reports coming from all over the world shows that  women are the worst victims, suffering from domestic violence , sexual abuses, the loss of employment, increasing domestic burdens, dropping school due to unstable jobs of their parents, low performance during work from home and many other troubles.  

In this workshop, the impact of pandemics on women will be probed through gender lens. Lectures, discussions, assignments during this workshop will be an attempt to introduce  new perspective needed to deal the women issues during pandemics. 

On the one hand this workshop will provide us a chance to know the different dimension of crisis for  women in the pandemic hit world  , which in turn will pave the way for future discussions and research on the plight of women form gender perspective.  On the other hand the academicians, activists, researchers  students will get an opportunity to learn  new perceptions to unfold the women realities.  This will play a crucial role in sharpening their arguments and refining their research.

I am happy to announce that the G B Pant Social Science Institute, Jhusi, Prayagraj is organising a workshop  on GENDER DYNAMICS IN THE TIME OF CRISIS from June 8-12, 2020. The  mode of the workshop will be online. 

The workshop will be addressed by eminent academicians of gender studies from the different parts of India. Each lecture will be of one hour followed by an half hour of discussion. Our speakers will provide study material to participants and finally each participant have to submit an assignment based on Lectures and study material.

The Institute wants to create a pool of Research Team for monitoring the various Rural Development Programmes of Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation and Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Team are deputed for regular monitoring, Special Monitoring and Enquiry/ complaints of serious nature etc. TA/DA and other monitoring charges will pay as per approved Guideline and terms & conditions of the Ministry to the team for the aforesaid assignments. 

The minimum qualification is Master’s degree in Social Science in Social Sciences with experience in the field of monitoring/evaluation work, social sector including Rural Development. Condition relaxable based on experience and Screening Committee opinion.

Prayagraj Kumbh Fellowship

Govind Ballabh Pant Institute, Jhusi, Prayagraj  in collaboration with Kumbh Mela Pradhikaran, Prayagraj is going to develop a Kumbh Study Centre. This centre will work as a Think Tank, as well as an Intellectual Resource Centre and archive for Kumbh Mela Prayagraj.

 
GBPSSI is offering a fellowship named 'Prayagraj Kumbh Fellowship' under this scheme. The fellowships will be offered to two fellows every year. Applications are invited from eminent scholars having expertise in this area. They may propose to work on economy, management, culture and history of Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj.

 
Interested candidates may send their CV’s with a brief proposal to director@gbpssi.org.in. The selected fellows will be given  a consolidated amount of Rs. 50,000 only.
An expert committee will evaluate the proposal and will select two fellows. The decision of the  Institute shall be final.

 
Selected Fellows are required to complete their proposed work as per the norms of the Institute. A reviewer committee will review the monographs of the Fellows, submitted on completion of their term and publish it after incorporating reviewer suggestions.

 The last date for submission of  CV with Proposal is December15, 2019.

 

Advertisement No. 02/2019

Institute requires Financial Advisor on contractual basis. Initially, engagement shall be for three months. It may be extended if required by the Institute.
