Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) 2023-24

G B Pant Social Science Institute, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj is commencing the Master in Liberal Studies (MLS) in accordance with National Education Policy-2020 from the new academic session 2023-24. The MALS is a specialised two-year Post-graduate course. This course offers extensive opportunities for a diverse mix of subjects with an interdisciplinary academic approach to deal with change, diversity and complexity. It will produce new generation of innovative and critical thinkers with a proactive interventionist approach. This course is designed to help students to build strong theoretical grounding with an ability to deal with data sciences complemented by different dimensions of art and aesthetics, music and culture. This will help to develop a world view to interact with different clients of the world and for a range of creative jobs.

 
This Course offers students an innovative, flexible, and customizable path with multi-entry and multi-exit options. The aim of this two-year Master programme (multiple entries and exits) is to develop the career relevant skills  with a strong theoretical perspective required for the ‘potential knowledge work force’ of the future, ready to be transferred to diverse professional context. The course also prepares students for further independent academic research in accordance with National Education Policy 2020.
